PLUS and Royal A-ware reach agreement on acquisition of Deventer distribution center

Utrecht, November 27, 2025 – PLUS and Royal A-ware today announced that Royal A-ware will move into the distribution center in Deventer as of January 1, 2026.

In May, PLUS announced the transfer of its fresh produce activities from Deventer to its other fresh produce distribution center in Barendrecht. This brought the supermarket’s logistics network in line with its store network.

Over the past period, in close consultation with HVBM Vastgoed – on behalf of owner Heerkens – Bruil (HBC) – a filling of the modern fresh distribution center (77,000 m²) was sought that meets all major sustainability requirements. All parties are pleased to announce that on January 1, Royal A-ware will occupy the entire distribution center in Deventer.

Royal A-ware is an international family-owned company with more than 135 years of experience, specializing in the production, ripening, cutting and packaging of cheese and other fresh food products such as daily fresh dairy, cream, milk powder and tapas.
